RESULT AVALANCHE TROPHY 2009

Avalanche Trophy in Åre is over. Around a hundred riders on the start gives a real adrenaline rush for everyone when the starting gun echoes and everyone throw themselves away. Of course it gets a bit crowded in the beginning but after a while most riders find their position and is fighting their way down the 7.5 kilometers long track. After 900 elevation meters and around 20 minutes later, many greatly exhausted riders arrive over the finish line. Everyone is talking about what happened where, but most have had lots of fun on the way down.

After two tough races once again the victory went to France in the men's class, while a rider from Sweden and Åre took the ladies title.

The competition is decided by two runs where the position is converted into points, and the winner is the one with the most points overall for the two runs.

1: Karim Amour, France

2: Franck Parolin, France

3: Niklas Wallner, Sweden
