Choose bike trails that are appropriate for your level of skill. Help others who are involved in an accident.

2. SHOW CONSIDERATION FOR OTHER TRAIL USERS.

There can be hikers and other riders at the trails. Slow down when you meet and overtake them, make them aware that you would like to pass. Riders coming downhill/from behind must always yield the right-of-way. Pay particular attention where trails meet or at crossroads.

3. ADJUST YOUR SPEED.

Make sure you will be able to stop in the event of unexpected obstacles on the trail. Remember that the surface of the trails changes in different weather conditions.

4. DO NOT STOP UNNECESSARILY WHEN VISIBILITY IS LIMITED.

It is particularly dangerous to stop just over the brow of a hill, in curves and on steep hills.

5. SHOW RESPECT FOR THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT.

Do not disturb animals and do not litter. The mountain terrain is sensitive and it is therefore only permitted to bike on approve bike trails.

6. IT IS THE RIDER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO KNOW THE RULES.

Follow signs and directions for biking and riding the lifts. Anyone breaking the rules will be penalised. If riders are found biking off the approved bike trails, Skistar Åre has the right to cancel their lift pass.

7. IT IS COMPULSORY TO WEAR A HELMET WHEN BIKING.

Recommended protective gear in addition to a helmet includes a back guard, knee pads and elbow pads.

8. ANYONE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS OR ALCOHOL WILL

BE REFUSED ENTRY.

Alcohol and drugs impair judgement and performance, which increases the risk for everyone in the area.

Anyone attempting to ride a lift without a personal or valid lift pass may be required to pay an inspection fee of SEK 1,500.

10. RIDERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR BIKES.
